Brand and Identity Overhaul
The organisation was formed in January 1973 by a group of parents with children who had asthma. They wanted to support each other and others in the community who were also affected by the condition. However, since those early days Asthma Waikato has grown and their operational team and mobile nurses now manage a growing list of referrals. They have a local community base off Five Crossroads but also visit people in their homes, schools, maraes; wherever is needed.
Currently in New Zealand 550,000 school days a year are missed by children with respiratory conditions and of all the asthmatics they helped last year, nearly 90% were under 15 years old. However, with an old brand and tired out of date supporting materials, it was time for a full refresh. From the main charity logo right through. So a new logo and supporting brand was developed and with new photo shoots carried out new supporting materials were created including a new website.
